Five Decades of Synthesis, Designed for Modern Producers
Some machines don't just make sounds, they make history. The synthesizers and drum machines behind your favorite records, film scores, and entire genres of music weren't just tools. They were voices. And for decades, those voices have been growing harder to access: discontinued, degraded, priced out of reach, or simply lost to time. Vintage Vault 5 was built to bring them back.
A living collection of synthesis drawn exclusively from real hardware, Vintage Vault 5 brings together 43 UVI instruments spanning five decades of electronic sound, from the warm, evolving textures of early polyphonic analog synths, to the crisp digital voices that defined the '80s and '90s, to the obscure prototypes and cult machines that quietly shaped entire genres, this collection captures the true sound of the hardware that defined modern music.
More than a bundle, Vintage Vault 5 is a machine exploration, a curated collection of the most iconic, rare, and influential synthesizers and drum machines ever made. Browse by synthesis type. Explore by era. Let the presets guide you somewhere unexpected. These are the sounds you know from records and cinema, now fully in your hands, and far beyond.

Vintage Vault 5 spans five decades and dozens of distinct voices, analog and digital, iconic and obscure, the machines everyone knows and the ones only the most dedicated collectors have ever touched. What unites them is simple: every instrument begins with the real hardware. From there, each one has been programmed, sampled, and shaped into something both faithful to its origins and genuinely useful in a modern studio.

A staple of '80s pop and new wave, its DCO-based architecture delivered a kind of consistent warmth that made it beloved by both live performers and studio producers, and it remains one of the most satisfying-sounding instruments in the collection.',
caption: 'Team insights: from The Cure's brooding new wave records to countless pop and synth-pop productions, the JX-3P became one of the defining voices of the early '80s. Its DCO-based architecture made it more stable than most analog competitors, which is exactly why studios kept reaching for it.',

Together they represent a pivotal moment in the evolution of Japanese synthesis and a defining chapter in the sound of pop and electronic music.',
caption: 'Team insights: the VX600 is one of the rarest analog polysynths Akai ever made. So few were produced that most musicians have never even seen one in person, let alone played one. Pairing it with the more accessible AX73 gave us a chance to tell the full story of Akai's brief but ambitious analog era.',

7 unique instruments explore the legacy of German Wavetable Synthesis
Concept
Preserving the Past. Expanding the Future.
The instruments in Vintage Vault 5 didn't arrive in code. They arrived in shipping crates.
Real Hardware, Preserved and Restored.
Every instrument in Vintage Vault 5 begins the same way, with the original machine. Sourced, acquired, and where necessary professionally restored, each piece of hardware is brought back to its best possible condition before a single sample is recorded. From there, our sound designers spend weeks, sometimes months, learning the instrument intimately, programming patches that explore its full range, and capturing those sounds through class-A signal chains at the highest available resolution.
Infinitely Flexible, Built for Modern Creativity.
Preservation is only the beginning. Once inside the UVI Engine, each instrument is transformed into something that the original hardware, for all its brilliance, could never be—perfectly stable, infinitely recallable, deeply editable, and ready to work in any studio, on any session, at any moment.
Every preset in Vintage Vault 5 was designed with this in mind, not just to recreate a familiar sound, but to give producers and musicians a genuine creative starting point. Deep editing controls, powerful effects chains, and modern sound design sensibilities mean that classic tones can be shaped, layered, and reinterpreted far beyond what the hardware alone allowed. The goal was never nostalgia for its own sake. It was to take the most inspiring sounds in the history of electronic music and make them relevant, playable, and endlessly useful today.
These instruments inspired entire genres. Now they're ready to inspire you.
Vintage Vault 5 is the result of an obsession with the sounds that shaped modern music. Every machine was worth saving. Every preset was worth crafting. And every instrument is here because we believe that the best tools for making new music are often the ones that took decades to build. Whatever you make with it, we hope it sounds like nothing else.

Vintage Vault offers the most analog sounding software instruments!!! Even the purists can't deny these plug-ins! You will forget that these are "in the box" sounds.
Stop dreaming of a private synth museum. UVI’s Vintage Vault is a reality and it sounds sensational.

Vintage Vault is probably THE best bundle out there for synths. It covers everything with the typical UVI top shelf sound quality. I can feel the edge and the soul of the original synthesizers when I play those presets. Every module has a great panel of presets. It's UVI best product by far!
