Born from a six-year journey,
Augmented Choirs is the culmination of passion, exploration, and collaboration. Our team traveled across the world, capturing over 500 unique sound sources from hundreds of singers, each bringing their own distinct character and environment, from intimate studios to grand halls.
The result is a broad palette of vocal expressions, ranging from intimate whispers to monumental choirs, blending rich acoustic choir recordings with innovative synthesized sounds, and creating a seamless hybrid vocal landscape.
From pure harmony to
hybrid sound
Recorded in a legendary hall in Budapest, this collection features the city’s finest choir in a series of powerful and expressive performances. Among them, the Massive Tutti stands out, a stunning 100-voice ensemble capturing the full grandeur of the space.
From delicate whispers to soaring, cinematic textures, the articulations available create a broad and expressive palette. Whether soft hums, open vowels, or dramatic effects, each sound delivers a natural nuance and musicality.
To preserve the full depth and character of the choir, two complementary microphone mixes were used, one close and detailed, the other open and spacious.
Altogether, this premium section is crafted for composers seeking emotional impact, scale, and realism.
More compact than the Classical section, this choir was recorded in an intimate studio setting, offering greater precision and flexibility.
Tenors and basses, as well as altos and sopranos, were captured together to create natural, blended performances, with an “All” section available for instant, full-range playability.
Taking a unique approach, this section explores polyphonic writing through musical intervals, fifths, sixths, sus4, and more, offering rich harmonic textures right out of the box.
With separate men’s and women’s groups, and a variety of long, short, and crescendo articulations, it’s perfect for adding organic, evocative, and unexpected colors to your score.
Recorded in Tbilisi, Georgia, these female voices offer a rare and mysterious character, infused with the distinct musicality of the region.
This unique tone is brought to life through a broad range of articulations, from Aah, Ooh, and Mmh to more unusual syllables like Che and Da, capturing both nuance and authenticity. Multi-sampled phrases add natural movement and realism, while an expressive FX section, featuring glissandi and vocal percussion, deepens the palette.
The result is a richly textured vocal tool, ideal for cinematic atmospheres with a haunting, evocative edge.
Blending studio precision with creative processing, this section features acoustic pop singers' voices, layered and transformed into hybrid choirs, striking a balance between organic voices and synthetic textures.
